A free service for all U.S.-licensed physicians and physician assistants, the HCNN provides electronic delivery of Patient Safety Alerts – including drug recalls, label changes, and Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies (REMS) – safeguarding patient safety, minimizing physician liability, and improving regulatory compliance. The HCNN reaches every aspect of the health care and medical industry as a result of the joint efforts of state and specialty medical societies, academic medical centers, medical liability carriers, health plans, consumer advocacy groups, government leaders and industry.
